A CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY
In what land is West Division Street a couple of blocks from the south end of First Street in Mount Vernon; and in what land does the Naung Mai Thai Kitchen have seven seats? Come on. First off, yeah, the letter writer could have bothered to look it up, but the Rachawadee Cafe on Gates Street, downtown Mount Vernon is an old lunch counter, with perhaps as many as eight stools. It is also some of the best Thai food to be found in these two counties. The gals there know what they’re doing!

On the way home from the hospital in Everett, Jake and I stopped in Mount Vernon for dinner at the cutest little Thai restaurant. The tiny place is in an old kitchen counter and literally consists of 10 ten stools for guests to sit at. Jake eats here about once a week for lunch and always talks about how delicious the food is. For $9, I ordered the Cashew Nut with vegetables and brown rice and had enough for dinner and lunch leftovers. This place is so freaking cute with the nicest ladies working there and cooking yummy food right in front of you. It is a must for anyone living in Skagit County but also worth a stop if you are ever driving up North to B-ham or down South to Seattle.
